Yes. Out loud.

She was an off duty flight attendant who said she had specifically asked the gate agent for a “skinny person” in that seat. And then she told me I wasn’t even close.

And here’s the part that’s been replaying in my head ever since…

I apologized.

For not being skinny.

Not angry. Not yelling. Just… apologizing for taking up space.

When did commenting on someone’s body become normal conversation? And why do we sometimes shrink ourselves instead of speaking up?

Be honest — what would you have done?

When someone is dying and no family is there, some When someone is dying and no family is there, some teams place a warm water–filled glove in the patient’s hand so it feels like someone is holding them. It’s meant to simulate human touch at the end of life. But does it truly comfort the person… or does it comfort us when there’s nothing left to help them? I genuinely want to know what you think.

Are we more compassionate to animals than to dying Are we more compassionate to animals than to dying humans?

We call it mercy in one setting and something completely different in another.

Same suffering. Different rules.

Is it law, ethics, religion, culture, fear, history?

Why does death with dignity operate under one framework in veterinary medicine and another in human healthcare?

I am not pushing an agenda. I am asking you to explain the difference.

So tell me. What justifies it? Drop your answer below.
